Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery

Location: Bozeman, Montana
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Summary

• Provide nursing care through assessment, analysis, planning, intervention, and evaluation to promote and maintain patient health.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to subordinate personnel as appropriate.
• Ensure the medical plan of care is carried out effectively.
• Perform nursing procedures common to the unit with required educational, physical, and mental capabilities.

Required Qualifications

Licensure & Certifications

• Registered Nurse License (Montana or Compact License)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certification
• BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification through the American Heart Association
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) Certification through the American Heart Association

Experience

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Labor and Delivery RN or PACU experience

Key Responsibilities

• Collect comprehensive and systematic patient data involving patients, families, and healthcare providers.
• Analyze assessment data to determine nursing diagnoses and expected outcomes.
• Develop and implement individualized, culturally appropriate plans of care.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate and implement care plans safely and effectively.
• Provide health teaching on topics such as healthy lifestyles, risk reduction, developmental needs, and preventative self-care.
• Participate in quality improvement activities to enhance nursing practice and patient care.
• Maintain professional competency through ongoing education and self-evaluation.
• Foster compassionate, culturally sensitive care and maintain supportive relationships with peers and colleagues.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers regarding nursing care and roles.

Additional Information

• Candidates must live at least 90 miles away from the facility to be considered.
• The facility reserves the right to cancel up to three shifts during the 13-week contract due to low census or unforeseen circumstances.
