Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg (Nights)

Location: Saginaw, Michigan
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Provide nursing care using the Nursing Process: assess patients, develop and implement plans of care, document appropriately, and evaluate patient responses.
• Supervise and direct co-workers in implementing patient care plans.
• Oversee delegation of patient care tasks to unit staff.
• Patient population includes general Med/Surg patients such as oncology, obstetrics, hospice, medical, and surgical patients.
• Patient ratio target: 1:4-5 up to 1:7.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of Med Surg nursing experience.
• Med/Surg observation experience required.
• Active Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Work history and skills checklist relevant to Med Surg specialty, current within 1 year.
• Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years.

Preferred Qualifications

• Recent travel nursing experience is highly preferred.
