Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Location: Stillwater, Oklahoma
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Shift: 3x12 hour nights
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Must have 1+ years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience (Med-Surg).
• Meditech experience required.
• Expected to float to all Med-Surg floors.
• Pediatric experience preferred.
• Candidates must be available on the posted start date.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Oklahoma.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Minimum of 1 year of Medical-Surgical nursing experience within the last year.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Experience with MEDITECH electronic health record system.

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID required.
• I9 or attestation required.
• E-Verify or attestation required.
• 7-year criminal background check within 30 days of start, including all locations lived/worked in past 7 years.
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required.
• Education verification as applicable.
• NURSYS verification required for RN license.
• Medication/pharmacology competency exam as applicable.
• Physical exam within 1 year of start.
• Drug screening (10-panel) within 1 year of start.
• Immunizations and titers required:

  • Tdap within 10 years (declination acceptable)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) positive titers or proof of vaccination (no declinations accepted)
  • Hepatitis B positive titer, vaccine series, or declination
  • Varicella positive titer or proof of vaccination (no declinations accepted)
• Flu vaccination or approved declination/waiver required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31).
• COVID vaccination or approved declination form required.
• Color blind exam and fit mask test completed onsite during orientation.

Orientation & Training

• HealthStream modules must be completed by Friday afternoon prior to Monday start (2-3 hours).
• Orientation includes non-billable hours (first 16 hours including module time).
• Candidate must review and sign facility-specific policies and standards prior to start.

Additional Notes

• Candidates must provide 2 professional references within 3 years of start.
• Employment application and annual skills checklist required.
• Candidates must complete facility-specific forms including confidentiality, flu and COVID waivers if applicable.
• Photo for badge required (passport-style with solid background).
