Registered Nurse - Psychiatric

Location: Bethel, Alaska
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Deliver patient care through the nursing process: assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Direct and coordinate nursing care based on nursing practice standards.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide quality, cost-effective, and efficient care.
Serve as a resource person as needed.
Apply age-specific considerations and cultural diversity in patient care.
Responsible for care of patients from birth to elderly.
Supervise Psychiatric Technicians on duty.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alaska.
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Minimum of 1 year of psychiatric nursing experience, with psychiatric experience within the last year.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Experience in supervisory roles, including supervising Psychiatric Technicians.

Additional Information

All travelers are required to show proof of completed COVID-19 vaccinations.

Specialty Experience

Minimum 1 year of nursing experience preferred.
