Job Opportunity: Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - NICU

Location: Saint Louis, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Summary

Seeking a Respiratory Therapist with Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and/or Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) experience. This role requires working every other weekend and may involve floating within scope to meet facility needs.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Missouri
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist
• Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Experience working with Neonate patients
• Experience working with Pediatric patients

Work Schedule & Hours

• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Weekend requirement: Every other weekend

Skills & Experience

• Experience in NICU and/or PICU essential
• Comfortable working in a pediatric acute care environment including trauma and emergency settings

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Government-issued ID required
• Criminal background check within 6 months of start
• Quarterly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks
• Education verification of highest related degree
• Professional license primary source verification
• Drug testing within 1 year of start, must remain valid throughout assignment
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Fit mask testing required and must be completed prior to or during orientation
• Immunizations and titers required: Tdap, TB testing, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (with specific exemptions not allowed in NICU)
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season
• Unit-specific competency exams and medication/pharmacology competency exams required annually
• Various facility-specific compliance documents including HIPAA, confidentiality, hand hygiene, dress code, and latex allergy questionnaire must be completed prior to start

Additional Notes

• First-time travelers accepted
• Floating within scope as needed
• References: Two professional references required, preferably supervisors within the last year
• No prior travel experience explicitly required
