Job Opportunity: ICU Registered Nurse

Location: Lewisburg, Pennsylvania
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Care for patients in Critical Care Unit (CCU), Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU), and Acute Care settings.
• Patient ratios:

  • CCU: 2:1 (may increase to 3:1 with overflow)
  • IMCU: 4:1
  • Acute Care/Ortho: up to 5:1
• Floating between CCU, IMCU, and Acute Care possible based on patient census.
• May care for COVID-19 patients.
• Telemetry experience preferred.
• IV start skills preferred.
• EPIC experience required.

Schedule

• Return to Office (RTO): Maximum 7 days
• Weekends: 2-3 per month (approximately every other weekend)
• Holidays: Expected to work 1 of 2 upcoming holidays (e.g., July 4th or Memorial Day)
• No call requirements

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania
• Minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system

Facility & Compliance Requirements

• Tobacco and fragrance-free environment
• Background checks including 7-year criminal history, fingerprinting, and state-specific clearances required
• Health documents required within 90 days of start:

  • Physical exam signed by MD, DO, PA, or NP
  • Immunizations and titers: Hepatitis B, MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), Varicella, TDAP, Flu vaccine (or approved exemption), COVID-19 vaccine (or approved exemption)
  • Negative TB test (QGold or TSpot) within 90 days (PPD not accepted)
  • Drug screening (9-panel) required within 1 year (for agency only)
• Professional references: 2 required within 3 years
• Skills checklist and competency exams as applicable
• Completion of facility-specific orientation and learning modules required

Additional Notes

• Candidate will be clinically screened for fit before final manager interview.
• Must be able to work in a floating capacity across multiple units.
• Photo for badge required (professional, passport-style).
• Must comply with all facility-specific documents and agreements (e.g., confidentiality, code of conduct).

Prior Travel Experience

• No explicit prior travel experience required.

This position is ideal for experienced ICU Registered Nurses comfortable with critical care patient ratios, floating between units, and working in a fast-paced hospital environment with electronic health record proficiency.
