Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Tech

Location: Sayre, Pennsylvania
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Schedule may include 4x10 hour shifts.
• Call required: 1 shift per week plus every 3rd weekend.
• Work in Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab.
• Experience with Phillips equipment preferred.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist.
• Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year.
• Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID required.
• I9 verification required.
• Background checks including:

  • 7-year criminal background check (updated annually)
  • Social Security trace
  • County searches for last 7 years
  • Nationwide sex offender check
  • State-specific checks (e.g., PA PATCH)
  • Education verification (highest level completed)
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 1 year of start.
• Fingerprinting required (PA FBI fingerprinting accepted if within 5 years).
• Education verification must be completed; diplomas or official transcripts accepted as placeholders if needed.
• Drug screening: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 90 days of start.
• Physical exam required within 90 days of start, signed by a licensed provider, confirming fitness to work.
• Respirator Fit Test required within 1 year of start, updated annually.
• Respirator clearance (RespSafety) required prior to start.
• Immunizations and titers required:

  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: Positive IGG titer or 2 vaccines.
  • Varicella: Positive IGG titer or 2 vaccines.
  • Hepatitis B: Series, declination, or positive titer.
  • Flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption during flu season.
  • COVID: 2 vaccines or approved exemption (booster not required).
• TB testing: QGold/TSpot within 90 days or 2 PPDs (one within 90 days, second within 12 months), updated annually.
• TB questionnaire required within 30 days of start and updated annually.

Training & Competency

• Medication test/pharmacology competency exam as applicable.
• Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam required for relevant units.
• Unit-specific skills checklist required within 1 year of start, updated annually.
• Completion of facility-specific training modules including:

  • HIPAA compliance
  • Infection control
  • OSHA
  • Safety, security, emergency preparedness
  • Sexual harassment prevention
  • Diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI)
• Review and sign confidentiality agreement and job description prior to start.
• Photo for badge must meet specific guidelines (plain background, no hats/masks/glasses on head).
