Location: Richmond, Virginia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Position: MRI Tech
  • Weekend shifts: Friday through Sunday, daytime
  • Experience required with McKesson and Siemens systems

Required Qualifications

  • MRI Technologist with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year
  • Experience with McKesson systems
  • Valid state license for MRI Technologist (ARRT certification required; AMRIT not acceptable)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA only
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - AHA only
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - AHA only (if applicable)
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) (if applicable)
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) (if applicable)
  • Criminal background check within 60 days of start, including state and nationwide checks as required
  • Physical exam within 1 year confirming ability to meet job demands
  • Immunizations and titers: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B
  • TB testing (Q-gold/T-spot or PPD) within 30 days of start
  • Flu vaccination or approved exemption for the current season
  • Drug screening within 60 days of start (9-panel minimum)
  • Government-issued photo ID must be carried during work hours
  • Completion of orientation including:
    • Pharmacology exam
    • Point of Care Testing
    • Airborne Precaution Mask Fitting
  • Completion of assigned learning modules during orientation week (~6 hours)
  • Submission of references (2 required)
  • Completion of employment application/resume
  • Annual skills checklist update (if applicable)
  • Compliance with state-specific fingerprinting and registry requirements (Virginia)
  • HIPAA confidentiality acknowledgment

Additional Requirements

Notes

  • Candidates may start with some background or fingerprinting results pending if proof of submission is on file.
  • No onsite certification renewals; renewals must be scheduled prior to contract start.
  • Candidates must bring certain personal items to orientation (mask, headphones, laptop or cell phone).

This position is ideal for MRI Technologists with experience on McKesson and Siemens systems seeking a travel contract in Richmond, VA with weekend shifts.
