Job Opportunity: Emergency Department RN - Nights
Location: Lewiston, Maine
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
As a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department, you will be a vital member of the patient care team responsible for delivering direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process. The role involves assessing patients upon admission and throughout their stay, administering IV medications, therapy, and blood products as needed, providing patient education, and documenting nursing care actions, teaching, observations, and patient responses.
The Emergency Department offers a full spectrum of emergency care including a dedicated Chest Pain Center.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse license in good standing for Nursing specialty
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of previous nursing experience
- Minimum 1 year of previous critical care nursing experience
- Candidates with any licensure or background issues will not be considered
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility
Additional Information
- Up to 16 hours of orientation is unpaid
- The employer reserves the right to cancel up to 3 shifts during the 13-week contract
- Prior travel experience is required for this position
