Job Opportunity: Mother-Baby / Couplet Care / Post Partum Nurse

Location: Greensburg, Pennsylvania
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Provide postpartum nursing care as couplet care, caring for mother and baby as a dyad.
Patient ratio aimed at 3:1.
Perform heel sticks on newborns for supplemental screening tests, blood sugars, and bilirubin collection.
Competent in performing head-to-toe assessments on both mother and newborn.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Pennsylvania
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Minimum 1 year of postpartum nursing experience, with recent postpartum experience within the last year
Experience working with maternal-fetal patients and neonate patients
Maternal-newborn nursing experience
ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
PALS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
NIHSS certification
