Job Details

• Shift: Days, Monday-Friday
• Schedule: 5 shifts of 8 hours each (5-8s)
• Start Time: 9 AM or 11 AM depending on machine staffing needs
• Weekend Requirement: Yes, including Sunday holiday weekends; some holiday weeks require Sunday through Wednesday shifts
• On-Call: No
• Average Daily Census: 115 patients
• Scrub Color: Grey or Steel
• Special Requirements: Experience with TrueBeam technology required

Required Qualifications

• Radiation Therapist with a minimum of 2 years of experience
• Radiation Therapist experience within the last year
• ARRT (T) certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Experience with TrueBeam technology

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• I9 or Attestation
• Driver’s License/State ID (clear copies front and back)
• E-Verify or Attestation
• Proof of Name Change (if applicable)
• Background Check: 7-year history including SSN trace, state and federal checks, education verification
• Education Verification or Transcript/Diploma
• Various certifications depending on specialty and unit (confirm if ACLS or others are needed)
• Physical Exam within 1 year, signed by MD, DO, NP, or PA (not Chiropractor)
• Fit Mask Test within 12 months (specific mask models required)
• Immunizations and Titers:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years or signed declination)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) immunity or vaccination
  • Hepatitis B immunity or vaccination series or declination
  • Varicella immunity or vaccination
• Drug Testing within 30 days of start and annually
• Seasonal Flu Vaccination or facility-specific exemption during flu season
• Color Blindness Exam (Ishihara exam required prior to start; online testing not accepted)
• COVID-19 vaccination proof or signed declination (acceptable vaccines: AstraZeneca, Pfizer, Moderna)

Additional Requirements

• References: 2 references from the last 2 years, including one from the last year, preferably from a Charge RN, Manager, or Supervisor
• Employment History: Verification of last 3 years, with explanations for gaps over 30 days
• Skills Checklist: Annual requirement
• State-specific CAPS check within 60 days of start
