Registered Nurse (RN) – Observation Unit, Evening Shift
Location: Zanesville, Ohio
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Primarily assigned to the Observation Unit (1S)
- Required to float to other Med-Surg units including Respiratory, Stroke, Cardiac, and possibly the Emergency Department if appropriately skilled
- 36 hours per week, day shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- Every other weekend required
- Taking call is very rare
- Must be proficient in Epic EMR (no refresher or 1:1 training provided; proficiency will be tested on day one)
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in Ohio
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Minimum 3 years of recent/current Telemetry and/or Step-down nursing experience
- Ability to read Telemetry/BCRA; competency will be tested on day one with immediate termination if not passed
- Epic EMR proficiency is mandatory and will be verified immediately
Additional Information
- Facility may cancel up to 36 hours during the 13-week contract; canceled hours are not limited to 12-hour shifts
- Start and end dates, as well as requested time off, must be strictly adhered to as per contract requirements
- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
This role is suitable for experienced Telemetry or Step-down RNs with strong Epic EMR skills seeking a contract position on an evening shift in Ohio.
