Description

Job Opportunity: Ultrasound Tech Maternal Fetal

Location: Columbus, Georgia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 24 weeks

Job Description

Work schedule: 4 days per week, 7 AM to 5 PM
Supports OB floor with a machine on site at a nearby hospital
Fridays are on-call for hospital scanning as needed
Patient population includes neonates and adults
Practice focuses on high-risk OB patients with consultative sonography
Sonography duties include NT (Nuchal Translucency), Cardiology exams, detailed scans of multiples, and amniocentesis support
Average daily census: 44 patients across 6 rooms
Electronic medical record system: Epic, GE Viewpoint
Floating required within the facility as needed
Weekend work: every other weekend
Call requirement: Fridays as needed
Holiday work expectations: required to work 1-2 major holidays if they fall during the assignment
Return to office (RTO) maximum: 7 days

Required Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonography experience within the last year
Certifications required: ARDMS, CCI, NT
Proficient in NT scan skills, detailed scans of multiples, and amniocentesis support

Additional Information

Floating between locations within the facility as needed
Orientation hours vary based on contract length
Compliance with all credentialing and documentation required to start on time
Clinical screening will be conducted to determine fit before final approval
Locals accepted at the same rate

Work Environment & Expectations

High-risk OB consultative practice requiring advanced sonography skills
Must be able to handle a fast-paced environment with a high patient census
Professional appearance required (scrub color: black)
Must be willing to work holidays and weekends as specified
On-call duties on Fridays for hospital scanning
