Job Opportunity: Ultrasound Tech Maternal Fetal
Location: Raleigh, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Overview
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
- Patient Age Group: Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
- Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Weekend and On-Call: Not required
- First-time travelers are welcome
Required Qualifications
- Valid Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonography license in North Carolina
- Minimum 1 year of Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonography experience within the last year
- ARDMS certification
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
Required Documents & Compliance
- Background checks including SSN trace, county checks for past 7 years, sex offender, education verification, and sanction list searches
- Education verification from an accredited diagnostic medical sonography program
- Physical exam within 12 months of start
- Fit mask (N95 or equivalent) within 12 months of start
- Immunizations and health documents:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (every 10 years)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella vaccination or positive antibody titers (no exemptions)
- Hepatitis B titer, vaccine series, or declination
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer
- Seasonal flu vaccine (required annually, no exemptions)
- Drug testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen including THC within 30 days of start
- Two professional references from employment within the last 12 months (at least one supervisor)
- Employment application and skills checklist (updated annually)
Orientation & Training
- Orientation sessions held bi-weekly
- Competency exams and pass/fail testing on basic tech knowledge during orientation
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training provided during orientation (valid for 2 years)
Additional Notes
- Candidate must set up a guest account prior to clearance to access orientation and work systems
- Candidates within 75 miles may be considered local
- No floating or on-call duties required
- All required documents must be current and completed prior to start
