Job Opportunity: Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Outpatient

Location: Brownwood, Texas
Employment Type: Travel/Contract

Job Description

• Provide speech language pathology services across a patient age range from pediatrics to geriatrics.
• Experience with modified barium swallow studies is required.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Speech Language Pathologist license in Texas.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Experience working as a Speech Language Pathologist within the last year.
• Experience working with pediatric patients.
• Experience working with geriatric patients.
• Experience with modified barium swallow studies.

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Background check (7-year) required within 1 year of start and must be updated annually.
• Education verification (highest level) required.
• Physical exam within 1 year of start; must be completed within 72 hours of signing contract.
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray required; must be completed within 72 hours of signing contract.
• Immunizations/vaccinations required or proof of immunity for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
  • Seasonal Flu vaccination or exemption (for 2025-26 season)
• Drug testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen with THC within 10 business days prior to start; no pending results allowed.
• Fit mask test (annual) with specific mask types required.
• Various facility-specific acknowledgments and forms must be reviewed and signed prior to start.
• References: Two references required within 3 years of start.
• Skills checklist and competency exams as applicable.

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure)
• CHEMO (Chemotherapy)
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
• EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring)
• ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)
• NIH Stroke Certification (annual updates required)
