Speech Therapist - Wisconsin

Location: Mauston, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Contract

Job Summary

The Speech Therapist assesses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders to help individuals improve communication and swallow safely.

Essential Job Duties

Perform direct patient care: assess and treat speech, language, and swallowing disorders
Complete patient documentation including initial evaluations, plans of care, progress reports, and discharge reports
Contact insurance companies regarding benefits
Prepare for evaluation and treatment sessions
Provide education to staff (nurses, physicians, dietitians, food service workers) on evaluation results and recommendations
Create in-service presentations and educational opportunities for staff
Collaborate with healthcare providers to deliver patient-centered treatment
Clean treatment rooms after sessions
Provide reminder calls to patients
Assist patients and families in navigating the hospital
Perform other duties as requested

Required Qualifications

Valid license to practice as a Speech Therapist in Wisconsin
