Job Opportunity: Mammography Tech

Location: Midland, Texas
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
Start Date: Within the next 3-5 weeks
Work Hours:

• Normal hours: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (1-hour lunch)
• May be required to stay until 7:00 PM 1-2 times per month
• Possible Saturday coverage from 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM
• No on-call required

Required Qualifications

• Valid Mammography Technologist license in Texas
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Mammography Technologist
• Mammography Technologist experience within the last year

Certifications Required

• BLS (Basic Life Support): AHA Instructor, Provider, or RQI accepted
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support): AHA Instructor, Provider, or RQI accepted
• Tech Certification: ARRT (Mammography) or equivalent national certification required
• Other Certifications: As applicable per specialty and facility requirements

Background and Compliance Requirements

• 10-year criminal background check within 30 days of start, including SSN trace and all locations lived/worked
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start
• Education verification and highest level diploma/transcript as applicable
• Facility-specific confidentiality, security, and compliance agreements to be signed prior to start
• Drug screening and blood testing consent required; onsite drug screen during orientation
• Physical exam within 1 year of start, must be completed within 72 hours of contract signing
• Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 12 months of start
• Required immunizations/vaccinations or positive titers for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
• Seasonal flu vaccination or agency declination required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)

Competency Requirements

• Medication/Pharmacology competency exam as applicable
• General competency exam within 1 year of start
• Age-specific competency exam within 1 year of start

Additional Requirements

• Two professional references within 3 years of start
• Resume or employment application copy required
• Annual updates for safety manual acknowledgment and skills checklist

Notes

• Facility requires government-issued photo ID and valid driver’s license/state ID
• N95 fit test required within 1 year of start (PAPR not accepted)
• No call responsibilities
• Some Saturday shifts may be required

This position is ideal for Mammography Techs with at least 2 years of experience, holding a valid Texas license, and who are comfortable with travel assignments. Prior travel experience is preferred but not mandatory.
