Job Details

• Schedule:

  • 40 hours per week
  • Weekday shifts: 06:30 AM – 5:00 PM (Monday to Friday, 10 hours)
  • Weekend shifts: 07:00 AM – 1:00 PM (Saturday & Sunday, 5 hours) with possible extended hours
  • Weekend requirement: 2 weekends out of every 6-week schedule
  • On-call shifts required during scheduled weeks (Monday to Sunday)
  • On-call hours: Weekdays 5:00 PM – 7:00 AM, Weekends 1:00 PM – 7:00 AM

• Patient Age Group: Adults

Required Qualifications

• Valid Cardiac Sonographer license in North Carolina
• Minimum 1 year of Cardiac Sonographer experience within the last year
• Certifications:

  • ARDMS or CCI or RCS
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Phillips ultrasound equipment experience

Additional Requirements

• Must be available for weekend shifts and on-call as described
• Orientation sessions held bi-weekly
• Scrub color: Navy

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Background checks including education verification and various federal/state screenings must be completed within 90 days of start
• Drug testing: Negative 10-panel test (including THC) within 30 days of start
• Health documents required within 12 months of start:

  • Physical exam
  • Fit mask (N95 or equivalent)
  • Immunizations and titers for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap, Polio
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray
  • Annual TB questionnaire
  • Seasonal flu vaccination (required annually)
• Two professional references from employment within the last 12 months (at least one supervisor)
• Employment application and skills checklist (updated annually)

Notes

• Candidates must set up a guest account prior to clearance to access orientation and work systems
• Competency exams and pass/fail testing will be conducted during orientation
• No first-timers; local candidates within 75 miles are considered
• Floating between units is not required
