Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Location: Charleston, South Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Patient Ratios: 1:4 to 1:5
• Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts per month
• Holiday rotation: Yes
• Floating: May be required to float within scope to meet unit needs
• Unit Type: Medical Surgical unit with adult patients, including medical and some surgical cases
• First-time travelers accepted
• Locals may be considered on a case-by-case basis

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in South Carolina
• Minimum 1 year of Medical-Surgical nursing experience within the last year
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
• EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Additional Information

• Travelers may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June-November), especially August and September
• Facility uses EPIC for charting
• Dress code: Solid royal blue or white top with royal blue bottoms for RNs
• Parking permits required (details provided upon hire)
• Orientation includes completion of online modules prior to start; failure to complete may result in being sent home
• Badge photo required before start date (passport-style, business casual attire)
