Job Summary

Seeking a Respiratory Therapist with experience in Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics. This is a travel contract position at an acute care hospital with a Level 3 Trauma Center designation.

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Respiratory Therapist within the last year
• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required

Required Certifications & Licenses

• Current RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) license required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• ACLS, PALS, and other certifications may be preferred depending on unit but are not mandatory for this role

Facility & Work Environment

• Acute Care Hospital with 171 staffed beds
• Level 3 Trauma Center
• Charting system: EPIC (experience preferred)
• Free parking available
• Zero-fault attendance policy: any missed scheduled shift counts as unexcused; 2 missed shifts = warning, 3+ missed shifts may result in contract cancellation
• Block scheduling accommodations available
• Locals accepted
• No pending licenses accepted

Compliance & Onboarding Requirements

• Background check required within 30 days of start, including a 7-year criminal history search across all counties worked in the last 7 years
• Copy of diploma or transcript required (unofficial transcripts acceptable if graduation date is listed)
• Physical exam within one year of start, stating "cleared to work" with physician signature
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within one year of start
• Required immunizations or titers: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
• Drug test (10-panel) required within 30 days of start with negative results
• Flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 – May 1)
• Unit-specific competency exam required
• Completion of facility-specific training modules prior to start
• Badge photo required before start date
• Confidentiality agreement and code of conduct acknowledgment must be signed prior to start

Additional Notes

• Candidates must commit to completing lab onboarding within 48-72 hours of signing the contract
• Holiday time off restrictions apply: maximum 5 days off during the 13-week assignment, no additional time off after contract start
• Attendance and punctuality are strictly enforced under the zero-fault policy
