Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Location: Fayetteville, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

Specialty: Registered Nurse (ER)
Required Experience: Minimum 3 years in Emergency Room nursing
First-time travelers: Accepted
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
On-call Requirement: No
Floating: May be required to float within scope to meet facility needs or between like units
Block Scheduling: Open to accommodating
Local Candidates: Not accepted (50-mile radius rule applies)
Pending License: Not accepted
Return Staff Policy: Must be gone for 1 year to return as a traveler
Contract Limit: Maximum of 2 contracts (can extend once), then must be gone for 6 months before returning
Ratios: 1 nurse to 5-6 patients

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
Minimum of 3 years of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience, with at least some experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification

Guaranteed Hours: Call-off policy allows 2 shifts off per 13-week assignment; after that, contracted shifts are guaranteed
