Job Opportunity: Outpatient Registered Nurse

Position Details

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (Outpatient)
• Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Patient Ratio: 1:4
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Years of Experience Required: Minimum 1 year in specialty
• First-time Travelers: Not accepted
• Local Candidates: Accepted with no radius restrictions
• Floating: No floating outside scope of practice
• Schedule Flexibility: Block scheduling may be discussed during interview
• Guaranteed Hours: Subject to client call-offs up to 36 hours per 13-week assignment

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois
• Minimum 1 year of Hematology/Oncology nursing experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification issued by the American Heart Association

Background and Compliance Requirements

• Background check covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years, updated annually
• Federal and state exclusion lists (EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG) within 30 days prior to start
• State-specific criminal and offender registry searches within 30 days prior to start
• Fingerprinting and Illinois Healthcare Worker Registry results required for clinical candidates without an Illinois license (must be completed in Illinois)
• Education verification required
• References: Two professional references required

Additional Notes

• Badge photo required within one week of contract signing
• Code of conduct review and signature required within 7 days of contract signing
• Parking permit form may be required depending on transportation method
• Fit mask testing required for new contracts (specific mask types accepted)
• Candidates must be able to start with ideally no more than 5 days of return-to-office restrictions

This position is ideal for experienced outpatient RNs with at least one year of specialty experience who are seeking a travel contract in a critical access, magnet-recognized hospital setting. Prior travel experience is not required.
