Job Details

• Specialty: Surgical Services
• Schedule: 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (06:45 AM - 5:15 PM)
• Call Requirements: Circulator call with 3 weeknight call shifts per 4-week schedule and 2 24-hour weekend shifts per month (total 5 call shifts)
• Weekend Requirement: Yes, on an as-needed basis
• Floating: Yes, within the hospital (no floating to other hospitals)
• Patient Population: Orthopedic sports (limited total joints), minimally invasive arthroscopic and laparoscopic cases, robotics, general surgery, gynecology, urology, plastics. Experience with neuro, spine, thoracic, and vascular cases is a plus.
• Environment: Very busy, high acuity academic setting
• First-timers: Not accepted (prior experience required)
• Locals Accepted: Yes
• Pending License: Not accepted
• RTO Restrictions: 1 week max

Required Qualifications

• Valid CVOR Technologist license in Washington
• Minimum 3 years of CVOR Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Additional Requirements

• Background Checks: 7-year criminal background check including nationwide and sex offender searches
• Health Documents:

  • Physical exam within 1 year of start
  • Fit mask test within 9-12 months of start (N95 or PAPR as applicable)
  • Immunizations and titers including TB, TDAP, MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), Varicella, Hepatitis B, Influenza, and COVID vaccination or declination documentation
  • Drug screening (10 panel) within one year of start
• Competency Exams: Medication/pharmacology, color blindness, dysrhythmia/EKG, conscious sedation (if applicable)
• Facility Specific: Photo for badge, department checklists, and agreements required prior to start
• Training: Suicide prevention training required for multi-state licensed nurses working in Washington
• Charting System: EPIC

Notes

• Guaranteed hours may be adjusted based on census; providers may be called off or placed on-call in 4-hour increments up to one shift within a 2-week cycle.
• Scrub color is flexible; scrubs provided for OR personnel.
• Parking available at daily cost.
• Performance evaluations may be requested at assignment end.
