Job Description

Seeking a Registered Nurse with telemetry experience. Must hold current ACLS and BLS certifications to be considered.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania
• Minimum of 1 year telemetry experience, including telemetry experience within the last year
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Experience

• Specialty: Registered Nurse - Telemetry
• Years of Experience: Not explicitly stated; assume standard RN experience for telemetry units

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
• Emergency Contact Form (required prior to start)
• Background checks within 30 days of start, including:

  • Social Security Trace and County searches (last 7 years)
  • Nationwide Sex Offender Registry
  • Pennsylvania Statewide background check
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM check
  • HHS/OIG check
• Pennsylvania Department of Human Services Fingerprint Results (required prior to start)
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Negative TB test (PPD, QuantiFERON Gold, or T-spot) within 1 year; if past positive, negative chest x-ray within 1 year plus annual TB questionnaire
• Immunizations or titers within 10 years for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (vaccine series, positive titer, or signed declination)
  • Varicella
• Negative 15-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
• Seasonal flu vaccination or documented declination during flu season (Oct 1 - Apr 1)
• References: 2 professional references for travel, allied, or per diem acute care roles (within 3 years)

Notes

• Fingerprinting results must be obtained through Pennsylvania Department of Human Services; traveler must follow up to confirm processing.
• All certifications and documents must be uploaded and verified prior to assignment start.
• Drug screen and physical exam do not require annual updates once on assignment.
• Flu vaccination is required seasonally but facility accepts declinations.
