Job Description

• Acute Care RN position working in Medical/Surgical and Transitional Care areas.
• Patient Ratios: Experienced with 1:4 ratio.
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend.
• Shift Options: Day shift or night shift available.
• Floating: Floating within scope to Transitional Care Unit as needed.
• Block Scheduling: Can be requested.
• Locals accepted; no radius restrictions.
• Pending and Compact RN licenses accepted.
• Return to Office (RTO) Restrictions: Maximum 5 days off; no time off within first two weeks.
• Guaranteed Hours: Yes, with options for 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Montana (pending and compact licenses accepted).
• Minimum 1 year of Acute Care experience within the last year.
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification.
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification.
• Experience with 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratios.

Additional Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID required.
• Background checks including 7-year criminal history, EPLS/GSA/SAM, and HHS/OIG within 30 days of start.
• Primary source verification of state license.
• Annual competencies and exams as applicable.
• Physical exam within 1 year of start.
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year.
• Immunizations or proof of immunity required for:

  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
• Drug testing: Negative 9-panel within 1 year.
• Seasonal flu vaccination or signed declination form required during flu season.
• COVID vaccination required; exemptions accepted.
• Annual skills checklist and orientation safety manual acknowledgment required.
