Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse
Location: Springfield, Illinois
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Specialty: Registered Nurse (Interventional Radiology)
- Shift: Rotating 5x8 hour shifts and 4x10 hour shifts
- Experience Required: Minimum 1 year of specialty experience
- First-time Travelers: Accepted
- Prior Travel Experience: Not required
- License Requirement: Must have an active Illinois RN license (no pending licenses accepted)
- Floating: May be required to float within scope to meet facility needs
- Local Candidates: Accepted with no radius restrictions
- RTO Restrictions: Ideally no more than 5 days off
- Guaranteed Hours: Subject to client call-offs up to 36 hours per 13-week assignment

Required Certifications
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA or RQI acceptable
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) may be required based on unit/specialty
Required Documentation & Compliance
- Valid/current US Driver’s License or State ID
- Background checks covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years, including SSN trace, national criminal, sex offender, and other federal/state checks
- Education verification (degree/transcript)
- State-specific criminal and offender registry searches within 30 days of start
- Fingerprinting through Illinois Health Care Worker Registry (must be completed in Illinois 3 business days prior to start)
- Competency exam required for clinical candidates
- Photo for badge (color, plain background)
- Signed code of conduct and other facility-specific documents
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, including labs and clearance to perform job functions
- Fit mask test required (specific mask types accepted)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
- Immunization or documented immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
- 9-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required annually
- References: 2 professional references required for clinical candidates
- Skills checklist required for clinical candidates

- Candidates may be asked about block scheduling during interview
- Parking permit form and badge name confirmation required within 7 days of contract signing
- Facility accommodates latex allergies
- Some requirements and documentation are not applicable for non-clinical or remote candidates
