Required Documentation & Compliance

• Proof of I9 or Attestation
• Government-issued photo ID (must be carried during hours of service)

• Background Check: 7-year criminal history, nationwide, sex offender, FACIS Level 3, education verification
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start and updated with contract renewals
• Education verification through primary source
• Physical Exam: Initial and annual, must meet physical demands of position
• Fit Mask Testing: Annual fit testing required for specified masks
• Immunizations and Titers:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (vaccine or titer, declination accepted with form)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: Titer or 2 vaccines required, no declinations allowed
  • Hepatitis B: Vaccine, titer, or declination form required
  • Varicella: Titer or 2 vaccines required, declinations accepted only for medical/religious reasons
  • Flu Vaccine: Required annually, exemptions accepted with approval and proper forms
  • COVID-19: Full vaccination required prior to start; booster preferred but not required; medical/religious exemptions subject to approval
• Drug Testing: 9-panel drug screen within last 12 months (instant acceptable)
• References: Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations
• Employment Application: Complete with licensure, certifications, education, and employment history
• Skills Checklist and Competency Exams as applicable

Requirements/Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the District of Columbia
• Minimum 2 years of Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) nursing experience, with experience within the last year
• ACLS certification issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• At least 2 years of SICU RN experience (use 2 years as the lower bound)

This is a travel/contract Registered Nurse position in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit requiring at least 2 years of specialty experience (4 years preferred).
