Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Endoscopy
Location: Baton Rouge, Louisiana
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 5 shifts per week, 8 hours each (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM)
- Floating required to other departments for preoperative and postoperative care when volume is low
- Call requirements: 1 full weekend per month and 1 night per week
- Backfill position
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana
- Minimum 2 years of endoscopy nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Prior travel nursing experience required
Additional Requirements
- Must provide a copy of a valid photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
- Criminal background check and other standard background screenings required
- Physical exam within 1 year of start date, updated annually
- Annual respirator fit testing (Fit Mask)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start date
- 12-panel drug screen within 90 days prior to start
- Completion of competency exams as required by specialty
- References: 2 professional references required
Work Environment Notes
- May be required to float to other departments based on patient volume
- Call schedule includes nights and weekends
This position is ideal for experienced travel Registered Nurses looking for a contract in endoscopy with a structured schedule and some on-call responsibilities.
