Description
Job Opportunity: CVOR Tech
Location: Atlanta, Georgia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: Approximately 26 weeks
Schedule & Work Details
- Shift: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM plus one 8-hour shift (6:30 AM – 3:00 PM) every other week
- Weekend: Included in call requirements
- Call: 1 day per week and 1 weekend approximately every 4 weeks (subject to change)
- Floating: Within facility/scope of practice and to Main OR as needed
- Holidays: Expected to work major holidays if they fall during assignment (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year’s Eve/Day)
- Return to Office (RTO): Maximum 7 days
- Locals accepted at same rate
- Non-billable orientation hours depend on contract length (e.g., 8 hours for 8-week assignment)
Required Experience
- Minimum 2 years of CVOR Technologist experience
- CVOR Technologist experience within the last year
Required Qualifications & Certifications
- License: Must hold the appropriate state license for CVOR Tech in Georgia
- Certifications:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – Required for CVOR specialty
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Other certifications may be required based on unit description (refer to clinical track requirements)
Compliance & Screening
- Full compliance with all requirements is mandatory to start on time; delays in compliance may result in a 2-week start delay due to orientation scheduling
- Clinical screening will be conducted to determine clinical fit before final approval
- Background check required within 30 days of start, including education verification
- Physical exam required within 12 months of start
- Drug screening: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 60 days of start (instant drug screen acceptable)
- Annual NURSYS verification (for RN, LPN/LVN, AP if applicable)
- Color Blind Testing required
- Competency exams required for nursing and allied health professionals (including Dysrhythmia/EKG competency if applicable)
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 12 months of start (two negative TB tests required for privileging specialties)
- TB Questionnaire required annually for all candidates
- Immunizations or proof of immunity required for:
- Measles (Rubeola)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Varicella
- Hepatitis B (titer or signed declination)
- Seasonal Flu vaccination or declination (strongly encouraged during flu season)
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap highly recommended but not required for clearance
Additional Notes
- References: Two clinical references required to meet baseline
- Skills checklist and work history verification required (can be pending at start with proof of processing)
- Facility-specific policies on dress code and professional appearance must be reviewed and acknowledged prior to start
- Privileging specialties (e.g., Certified Surgical First Assistant, RNFA) have additional compliance and documentation requirements
