Job Description

• Work as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) for oncology patients in a fast-paced Nuclear Medicine and PET department.
• Schedule: Tuesday to Friday, 4x10 hour shifts (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM), with rotating after-hours on-call and weekend shifts.
• Patient population: Adults and geriatrics.
• Procedures include PET, General and Cardiac Nuclear Medicine.
• Treatments involve Y-90, Theranostics, Lu-177 Pluvicto and Lutathera, I-131.
• Required equipment experience: Siemens.
• Electronic medical record system experience required: EPIC.

Required Skills and Experience

• Nuclear Medicine Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience, including experience within the last year.
• Experience working with adult patients in an inpatient setting.
• Adult inpatient oncology experience.
• Nuclear cardiology experience.
• Proficient in a variety of nuclear medicine scans and procedures, including but not limited to:

  • Gastric emptying
  • HIDA scan
  • MUGA scan
  • PET scan
  • Bone scan (3 Phase, Limited, Whole Body)
  • Liver imaging
  • DTPA aerosol
  • Perfusion
• Experience with EPIC electronic medical record system.

Required Certifications and Licenses

• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• Preferred certifications: ARRT (N), CNMT, NMTCB, PET.
• Must hold a valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist license as applicable by state regulations.

Additional Requirements

• Background checks including social security trace, nationwide and county checks, sex offender registry, and education verification.
• Physical exam within the last 12 months.
• Immunizations and health documentation required:

  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray.
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer.
  • Varicella vaccination or positive titer.
  • Hepatitis B positive titer or facility-specific declination.
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or facility-specific declination.
  • COVID vaccination or facility-specific declination.
• Drug screening: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start.
• Facility is 100% nicotine-free.
• Annual skills checklist and competency exams as applicable.
