Job Details

• Schedule: 36/36 (36 hours on, 36 hours off)
• No call required; rotating weekends
• Floating between units required
• Must be competent in Medical/Surgical and Progressive Care Unit (PCU) nursing
• Accepting first-time travel nurses
• Traveler must live within 100 miles of the facility
• General orientation begins on Sundays (includes 16 hours of non-billable orientation, mostly online)
• Hospital may cancel or call off one shift biweekly without penalty due to census fluctuations
• Additional shifts beyond the work commitment may be offered as overtime and adjusted as needed
• Contract nurses expected to participate in nursing student support and clinical education alongside clinical care

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee
• Minimum 1 year of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience within the last year
• Medical-Surgical (Med Surg) nursing experience
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement
• State License 1 Verification
• NURSYS Verification (RN, LPN/LVN, AP)
