Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - ICU

Location: Anderson, Indiana
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Description

• Medical ICU with 20 beds, mixed ICU/Step Down unit
• ICU nurse-to-patient ratio: 2:1
• Step Down nurse-to-patient ratio: 3:1
• Floating required to a sister unit with ratios of 1:3 for Step Down or 1:4 for progressive level patients
• Weekend and holiday rotation commitment required

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Indiana
• Minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience
• ICU experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Onboarding and Compliance Requirements

• Professional resume/profile submission required
• Signed assignment agreement and confirmation documents
• Completion of specialty and pharmacology competency exams with minimum 80% passing score (only 2 attempts allowed)
• Completion of core competencies including HIPAA, Joint Commission, OSHA topics
• Health and immunization requirements including:

  • MMR (two vaccines or positive titer, no declinations accepted)
  • Varicella (two vaccines or immunity verification, no declinations accepted)
  • Tdap (valid within 10 years, no declinations accepted)
  • Influenza vaccine (seasonal, exemptions accepted with mask requirement)
  • Hepatitis B vaccination series or signed declination
  • TB screening (2-step PPD or IGRA, chest x-ray if positive, annual questionnaire)
  • Fit test for respiratory protection (annual)
• Drug screening: 12-panel drug test within 30 days prior to start and annually thereafter
• Background checks including criminal, employment, and education verifications
• Driver’s license or state ID matching address requirements
• Badge photo (headshot with white or blue background, no alterations)

Additional Notes

• Floating to sister unit is part of the role
• Weekend and holiday rotations are mandatory
• Multiple competency exams and health screenings must be completed prior to start and maintained throughout assignment
• Ongoing annual updates required for certifications, health screenings, and background checks

This position is ideal for an experienced ICU Registered Nurse comfortable with a fast-paced critical care environment and flexible scheduling including floating and weekend/holiday coverage.
