Job Opportunity: Physical Therapist - Inpatient Rehab

Job Description

• Provide one-on-one patient care primarily in Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) and Acute Swing Bed settings, with occasional outpatient duties (general, neurological, and orthopedic).
• Manage 6-10 patients per 8-hour shift depending on the setting.
• Work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapist license in North Carolina

Experience

• Specialty: Therapy/Rehabilitation
• Minimum years of experience: Not explicitly stated; assume entry-level to mid-level experience appropriate for travel Physical Therapist role.
• No prior travel experience explicitly required.

Compliance and Health Requirements

• Drug screening: 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start.
• Immunizations and titers required or proof of immunity for:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (series, titer, or declination)
  • Varicella
• TB testing: Negative PPD within 3 months or QGold/TSPOT within 1 year, updated annually. Chest X-ray required if history of positive TB.
• Flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Nov 15 - Mar 31).

Additional Requirements

• Completion of facility-specific orientation modules prior to start (up to 21 hours).
• Annual skills checklist and competency exams as applicable.
• Two clinical references required, including one from a supervisor or higher.
• Physical exam within 1 year of start (to meet agency standards).
