Location: Dededo, Guam

Job Details

• Shift: 5 days a week, 8 hours per day (5x8)
• Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
• Years of Experience Required: Minimum 1 year in specialty
• First-time travelers: Not accepted
• Locals: Candidates residing in Guam will not be considered
• Passport: Current U.S. passport required (Canadian passports not accepted)
• Return to Origin (RTO) Policy:

  • Must be approved and included in contract before start
  • Max 3 consecutive days, max 7 total days
• Guaranteed Hours: Contracted hours

Required Certifications

• ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography)
• CCI (Cardiovascular Credentialing International)
• RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) - American Heart Association (AHA) provider card required (digital certificate only)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA provider card required (digital certificate only)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - preferred, AHA provider card required (digital certificate only)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) - required for ER (digital certificate only)
• National Tech Certification as applicable

Additional Requirements

• Candidates must pass onsite drug calculations and Basic Knowledge Assessment Tool (BKAT) exams during orientation (pen and paper format, in person, cannot be completed prior to start)
• Onsite testing requires 80% or higher to pass; two attempts allowed with remediation discussion after first attempt
• Scrub color: Navy blue preferred; any solid color acceptable for non-Cath Lab/OR/PACU areas
• Charting system: Allscripts/Sunrise
• Parking: Free (registration and decal required)
• Candidates should plan to fly no later than the Thursday before the start date due to long flight times and time zone changes

License & Verification

• Must hold a valid license appropriate for Echo Tech / Cardiac Sonographer specialty
• Primary source verification required
• Background check within 1 year of start, including 7-year criminal search and international searches if applicable
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks must be done annually

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year (facility does not require but Aya does)
• Fit mask test within 1 year prior to start (specific approved masks required)
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
• Required immunizations or proof of immunity:

  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or declination)
  • Varicella (chickenpox)
• Seasonal flu vaccine required during flu season (Sept 1 - June 30) or approved medical exemption
• COVID-19 vaccination strongly preferred; declination requires facility-specific waiver form
• 9-panel drug screen within 30 days of start (instant drug screen acceptable)

Facility-Specific Training & Compliance

• Completion of facility-specific nursing or allied health modules prior to start (8-12 hours for RNs; includes Pressure Injury Training, NIH Stroke Scale Training, Alaris IV Pumps, Pyxis CareFusion)
• Conscious Sedation certification required for ER, ICU, and Cardiac Cath Lab (online course, not reimbursed)
• Emergency Severity Index (ESI) training required for ER
• NIH Stroke Scale Training required for RNs
• Pressure Injury Training and checklist required for all techs and RNs
• Drug calculations and BKAT exams administered onsite during orientation

References & Work History

• 2 professional references required for travel, allied, and per diem acute care roles (within 3 years)
• Verification of last 10 years of work history required; attestations accepted if verification unavailable

Important Notes

• Flights are not reimbursed; recruiters should include round-trip airfare in pay package
• Travelers should not book return flights until the entire contract is complete
• Candidates with beards must bring their own PAPR or be clean-shaven to pass N95 fit test onsite (facility will not provide PAPR)
