Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Oncology / Medical-Surgical Telemetry
Location: Columbus, Ohio

Job Description
This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in oncology and medical-surgical telemetry care, primarily working in a Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) unit with mixed acuity PCU and MS units.
Patient Diagnoses Include:
- Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL)
- Acute Myeloid Leukemia (Adult)
- Amyloidosis
- Aplastic Anemia
- Chronic Leukemia
- Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL)
- Chronic Myeloid (Myelogenous) Leukemia
- Hodgkin's Lymphoma
- Multiple Myeloma
- Myelodysplastic Syndrome
- Myeloproliferative Disorders
- Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma
Special Procedures/Unit Details:
- Autologous Transplants (patient’s own stem cells)
- Syngeneic Transplants (stem cells from identical twin)
- Allogeneic Transplants (stem cells from sibling, parent, or unrelated donor)
- CAR-T Therapy
Shift Details:
- 12-hour day/night rotating shifts
- Shift assignments reviewed every 4 weeks, but changes are not guaranteed
Required Experience & Skills
- Minimum 1 year experience in Medical-Surgical and Oncology nursing (higher experience preferred if available)
- Hematology-Oncology experience strongly preferred
- Chemotherapy certification not required
- Skills in telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias
- Experience with Rapid Response Teams
- Feeding tube care and management
- Blood product administration
- Central line blood draws and peripheral line care/management
- PICC line management
- Nasal cannula oxygen administration
Required Certifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
Preferred Certifications
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Chemotherapy Certification
- Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN)
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio
- Oncology nursing experience of at least 1 year, including experience within the last year
- Medical-Surgical nursing experience of at least 1 year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Experience with central line blood draws
- Experience with PICC line management
Additional Requirements
- Two professional references required, including at least one from a manager or formal leadership
- Employment application and skills checklist must be completed prior to start
- Adherence to dress code and hand hygiene policies
- Annual acknowledgment of safety and compliance policies
Prior Travel Experience
- No explicit prior travel experience required for this position
