Job Opportunity: X-Ray Tech

Location: Columbus, Ohio
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Position: Radiologic Technologist (X-Ray Tech)
• Shift: 5x8 hour shifts, variable schedule including afternoon and day shifts with some holiday rotations
• Equipment used: Toshiba and GE scanners
• Radiology Information System/EMR: Radiant with Fuji PACS

Required Qualifications

• Valid X-Ray Technician license in Ohio
• Minimum 2 years of X-Ray Technician (Radiology) experience, including experience within the last year
• ARRT certification or X-Ray Tech-ARRT certification
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification

Certifications & Licenses

• Must hold a valid Ohio Radiographer State License
• ARRT certification in Radiography
• BLS certification (AHA preferred, ARC or Military acceptable)
• Additional certifications may be required depending on unit assignment (refer to employer standards)

Required Documents & Compliance

• 7-year background check completed within 1 year prior to start date, including SS trace, county searches, nationwide criminal search, sex offender search, and sanctions screening
• Negative 9 or 10 panel urine drug screen within 90 days of start
• Physical exam within 2 years indicating clearance to work
• Respirator fit test documentation within 1 year (if applicable)
• Immunizations and titers: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B, TB test or chest X-ray within 6 months
• Flu vaccination or approved exemption required by specified deadlines
• Color blindness testing (100% pass required on online test; in-person test if failed online)
• Various competency exams including medication/pharmacology and unit-specific exams within 2 years of start

Additional Requirements

• Traveler’s permanent address must be more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Must comply with fingerprinting and background check requirements as per state and employer policies
• Must complete facility-specific agreements and acknowledgments prior to start
• Proof of name change documentation if applicable
• Driver’s license/state ID required if job duties include driving (not applicable for this role)

• Tertiary care teaching hospital setting
• Use of advanced imaging technology and electronic medical records
• Variable shifts with some holiday work required
