Job Opportunity: X-Ray Tech

Location: Lansing, Michigan
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work schedule: 72 hours per pay period, typically 5 or 4 shifts of 8 hours each
• Variable start times (7:00 AM, 7:30 AM, 8:00 AM)
• Every third weekend rotation required
• No on-call or floating duties
• Fast-paced department supporting Emergency Department and inpatient units
• Level 1 Trauma experience required
• Surgery experience preferred

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as an X-Ray Technician within the last year
• Current Michigan state license required
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) - American Heart Association or equivalent
  • AART (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification
• Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients

Additional Requirements

• Must provide:

  • Valid Driver’s License or State ID
  • Social Security Card
  • Evidence of background checks including criminal history and education verification
• Physical exam within 12 months required (must note latex sensitivity)
• Immunizations and health screenings required:

  • Tdap vaccine within 10 years or declination
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) immunity verification
  • Hepatitis B vaccination or immunity verification
  • Varicella immunity verification
  • 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or declination during flu season
• Competency exams and unit-specific training required
• Orientation and facility-specific modules to be completed onsite
