Description

Registered Nurse - Med Surg/Ortho - Nights

Location: Lewiston, Maine
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Provide direct and indirect patient care on the Post Surgical unit.
Assess patients on admission and throughout their stay.
Involve patients and caregivers in care plan development and updates.
Administer IV medications, IV therapy, blood, and blood components according to clinical standards and policies.
Must be trained and demonstrate competency in:
- Application of restraints
- Implementation of seclusion
- Monitoring, assessment, and care of patients in restraint or seclusion

Required Qualifications

Registered Nurse (RN) license.
BLS certification required.
Minimum 1 year of nursing experience preferred.
Must not have any actions on license or background issues.
Must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility.

Additional Information

Up to 16 hours of orientation is unpaid.
The employer reserves the right to cancel up to 3 shifts during the 13-week contract.
Previous employment at this facility is not allowed.
