Registered Nurse - Med Surg/Ortho - Nights
Location: Lewiston, Maine
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Provide direct and indirect patient care on the Post Surgical unit.
- Assess patients on admission and throughout their stay.
- Involve patients and caregivers in care plan development and updates.
- Administer IV medications, IV therapy, blood, and blood components according to clinical standards and policies.
- Must be trained and demonstrate competency in:
- Application of restraints
- Implementation of seclusion
- Monitoring, assessment, and care of patients in restraint or seclusion
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- BLS certification required.
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience preferred.
- Must not have any actions on license or background issues.
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility.
Additional Information
- Up to 16 hours of orientation is unpaid.
- The employer reserves the right to cancel up to 3 shifts during the 13-week contract.
- Previous employment at this facility is not allowed.
