Job Opportunity: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Dededo, Guam
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Overview

• Specialty: Emergency Department (ED) Registered Nurse
• Acute Care setting, Adult Level II Trauma center
• Contract travel assignment; candidates residing in Guam are not eligible (locals not accepted)
• Passport required at time of application (U.S. passport only; Canadian passports not accepted)
• Travelers scheduled primarily on one shift (day or night) without shift preference
• Weekend work required every other weekend
• Holiday work required (dates determined by unit needs; no holiday work requests accepted)
• Return to Office (RTO) restrictions: no more than 3 consecutive days off and max 7 days off during the 13-week contract
• Overtime is at management discretion and not guaranteed
• Travelers should be prepared to pick up additional shifts as needed due to census fluctuations
• Flights are not reimbursed; candidates must plan and include airfare in their pay package
• Travelers must remain scheduled through the last day of the contract before booking return flights

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Guam
• Minimum 5 years of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Required Certifications:

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) issued by the American Heart Association
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Conscious Sedation certification
  • National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
  • Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification

Additional Information

• Scrub color: Navy blue preferred; solid colors acceptable; mixing colors allowed; any color jacket acceptable
• Charting system: Allscripts/Sunrise
• Parking: Free with registration and decal from HR
• Candidates should plan to arrive no later than the Thursday before the start date due to long flight times and time zone differences
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position

This is a 13-week travel Registered Nurse assignment in the Emergency Department in Guam requiring a minimum of 5 years of RN experience in the specialty.
