Description

Job Opportunity: Nuclear Med Tech

Location: Carlsbad, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday (No weekends or call required)


Job Description

  • Provide diagnostic support to physicians by conducting organ or body scans on patients.
  • Administer and record isotope dosages following established protocols.
  • Observe patients during procedures and report any abnormal activity.
  • Use experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Perform a variety of tasks under general supervision.
  • Requires creativity and latitude in daily work.
  • Typically reports to a chief technologist or manager.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist license in New Mexico
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, including experience within the last year
  • Nuclear Medicine Tech certification
  • ARRT certification
  • New Mexico state licensure

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Philips Brightspeed imaging equipment preferred.

Additional Information

  • No option for 48-hour guarantee or blocked scheduling.
  • Scrub color: Any.
  • Electronic Medical Record system used: MedHost (EDIS).
  • No call or floating required.

  • Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
  • This is a travel assignment with a fixed 13-week duration.
  • Work schedule is consistent weekdays with no weekend or on-call duties.
