Description

Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiac Cath Lab

Location: Carlsbad, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
Shift: Days, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Call Requirements: Minimum 15 call days during the contract
Floating: Required, typically as sitters
Holidays: Required


Job Description

  • Circulate cases in the cardiac catheterization lab
  • Responsible for moderate sedation and medication preparation/administration
  • Circulate and monitor during procedures including LHC, RHC, TEE’s, cardioversions, peripherals, and other cardiac procedures
  • Clean and stock the lab
  • Patient ratio is 1:1
  • Use of EMR systems including Xper, MedHost, PACS

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in New Mexico
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience, including experience within the last year
  • ACLS certification
  • BLS certification
  • Experience circulating and monitoring in Left Heart Catheterization (LHC)
  • Experience circulating and monitoring in Right Heart Catheterization (RHC)
  • Experience circulating and monitoring Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE)
  • Experience circulating and monitoring cardioversions
  • Experience circulating and monitoring peripheral procedures

Additional Information

  • No 48-hour call hours approved
  • Blocked schedules are not approved
  • No holidays will be considered for return to office (RTO)
  • Scrub color is flexible
