Registered Nurse - Cath Lab (Texas, Celina)

Job Details

• On-call required every other week (Monday - Sunday)
• Dysrhythmia Exam required (maximum two attempts; failure results in cancellation prior to start)

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
• Cardiac Cath Lab experience of at least 1 year, with experience within the last year
• ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC)
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Acknowledgement of Pass/Fail Testing policy
• Pass/Fail Testing for EKG and Medication competency exams
• State License Verification

Health & Background Requirements

• Physical exam within 12 months of start
• Negative TB test (TSpot or QGold) within 12 months; chest X-ray if positive TB history
• Drug screening (10 panel) within 30 days of start (rapid screens not accepted)
• Required immunizations or proof of immunity:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
  • Hepatitis B (vaccine series and positive titer or signed declination form)
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) – positive titers or documentation of 2 vaccines; boosters required if titers low/equivocal
  • Varicella – positive titers or documentation of 2 vaccines; boosters required if titers low/equivocal
  • Seasonal Flu Vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption (required during flu season)
• Fit mask test completed onsite during orientation; updated annually
• Background checks including 7-year criminal history, sex offender search, and federal exclusions (EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG) within 30 days of start
• Two professional references within 3 years of hire required

Additional Requirements

• Valid government-issued photo ID (passport acceptable in lieu of driver’s license or state ID)
• I9 or attestation required
• E-Verify or attestation required
• Photo for badge (passport style, head and shoulders, clear background)
• Acknowledgement of pass/fail testing policy (two attempts allowed for medication and dysrhythmia exams)
• Completion of facility-specific forms including job description acknowledgment and vaccine exemption forms if applicable

Notes

• Candidates are allowed two attempts for the online Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam and Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam; failure after two attempts may result in contract cancellation.
• Dysrhythmia exam is critical; failure after two attempts results in automatic cancellation prior to start.
• Onsite orientation includes fit mask testing.
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.

This position requires a highly qualified Registered Nurse with Cath Lab experience, current certifications, and compliance with all health and background requirements. The role includes on-call responsibilities every other week and requires passing specific competency exams before or shortly after starting.
