Job Opportunity: Emergency Department Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Bowling Green, Kentucky
Employment Type: Travel/Contract

Job Details

  • Patient Ratio: 4:1
  • Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
  • On-call: No
  • Floating: No floating outside scope of practice
  • Block Schedule: Accommodated
  • Local Candidates: Not accepted (65-mile radius rule)
  • Pending License: Not accepted
  • Return to Office (RTO) Restrictions: Limited, only 1 holiday allowed
  • First-time Travelers: Accepted

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kentucky
  • Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience, including experience within the last year
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
  • National Tech Certification Verification
  • Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement
  • NIRSYS Verification (RN, LPN/LVN, AP)

Additional Information

  • No flu exemptions allowed
  • Badge photo required prior to start (specific background and appearance guidelines)
  • Various facility-specific forms and agreements must be reviewed and signed
  • Drug screening includes onsite second test during orientation; positive marijuana test requires immediate discontinuation
  • Random drug screening may be required during contract
  • Safety Sensitive Clearance may be required if onsite drug test is failed
  • Candidates must comply with all state and facility-specific health and safety documentation requirements

  • Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
  • Candidates must be able to work every other weekend and adhere to limited holiday time off
