Job Details

• Specialty: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics
• Shift Options:

  • 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (8 hours)
  • 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM (12 hours)
  • 7:00 AM – 11:30 PM (15.5 hours)
• Weekly Hours: Approximately 40 hours (various shift combinations)
• Schedule: Must be flexible to department needs
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend required

Required Qualifications

• Valid Respiratory Therapist license in New Jersey
• Minimum 1 year of Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Experience working with Adult patients
• Experience working with Pediatric patients
• Critical Care experience

Additional Requirements

• Must wear black pants and teal top (scrubs/uniform preferred)
• Must be able to work flexible shifts as needed by the department

Compliance and Documentation

• Current Driver’s License or State ID required
• Background checks including 7-year criminal history and federal exclusions must be completed within 3 months of start
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Immunizations and health requirements:

  • Positive titers required for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Hepatitis B
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (with additional requirements if past positive TB)
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption during flu season
  • COVID-19 vaccination (1-2 doses) required; medical and religious exemptions allowed
• Drug screening (10-panel including marijuana) within 3 months of start
• Competency exams and unit-specific skills checklist required prior to start
• References: 2 professional references within 7 years required
• Work history verification required for at least 1 year prior to start date (New Jersey state mandate)

Notes

• Must complete facility-specific safety training, orientation, and sign confidentiality agreements prior to start
• Fit mask testing (N95) required onsite during orientation
• Candidate must review and comply with dress code and employee handbook policies

This position offers an opportunity for respiratory therapists with at least 1 year of experience to work in a flexible travel contract role in New Jersey, supporting adult, pediatric, and critical care patients. First-time travel therapists are welcome to apply.
