Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Location: Teaneck, New Jersey
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Specialty: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics
• Shift Options:

  • 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (8 hours)
  • 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM (12 hours)
  • 7:00 AM – 11:30 PM (15.5 hours)
• Weekly Hours: Approximately 40 hours (various shift combinations)
• Schedule: Must be flexible to department needs
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend required

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Years of Experience: Minimum 1+ year preferred
• Patient Population Experience: Adult, Pediatric, Critical Care
• Licensure: Valid New Jersey Respiratory Therapist License required
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) required (AHA certification accepted)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) preferred (AHA certification accepted)
• Travel Experience: First-time travelers accepted (no prior travel experience required)

Additional Requirements

• Must be able to wear black pants and teal top (scrubs/uniform preferred)
• Must be flexible to meet department scheduling needs

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Current Driver’s License or State ID
• Background checks including 7-year criminal history and federal exclusions (must be recent)
• Physical exam within 1 year of start date
• Immunizations and titers with positive results required for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray as applicable
• Drug screening (10-panel including marijuana) within 3 months of start
• Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption during flu season
• COVID-19 vaccination (1-2 doses) with medical or religious exemptions allowed
• Unit-specific competency exams and pharmacology test required prior to start
• Completion of facility safety training, orientation, and acknowledgment of policies
• Professional references (2) within 7 years required
• Work history verification per New Jersey state requirements

• Flexibility in shifts and weekend work is mandatory.
