Job Opportunity: Operating Room Registered Nurse

Job Description

• Must be able to pass an online EKG Tele Competency Assessment prior to starting the assignment.
• Must be able to circulate in the OR.
• Scrub experience required.
• Vascular experience required.
• Shift schedule options: 4x10 hour shifts or 5x8 hour shifts, every 4th weekend, holidays as assigned.
• 4 (8-hour) shifts in a 4-week schedule.
• Facility uses da Vinci robotics technology.
• Some level 1 or 2 experience is required.
• Minimum 1.5 years of Registered Nurse experience required.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Ohio RN license (must be obtained before contract start; license not required at time of application).
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification (AHA only).
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (AHA only).
• NIH Stroke Certification (required within 12 months prior to start; updated annually).
• Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (must be passed with 80% or higher; up to 3 attempts allowed).
• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (completed within 2 years of start).
• Unit-specific Competency Exam (within 2 years prior to start).
• Physical exam within 2 years, signed by MD, DO, NP, PA, or RN, indicating fitness to work.
• Negative drug screen (9 or 10 panel including marijuana) within 12 months prior to documentation due date.
• Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season.
• Respiratory Safety Clearance within 1 year of start, renewed annually.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 1.5 years of RN experience.
• Some level 1 or 2 experience preferred.
• Scrub and vascular experience required.

Additional Requirements

• Must provide 2 professional references from within the last 2 years (1 must be a manager, supervisor, or charge RN).
• Current resume or employment application required.
• Skills checklist updated within 1 year prior to documentation due date.
• Background checks including 7-year criminal history, EPLS/GSA/SAM, and HHS/OIG required.
• Government-issued photo ID required.
• I-9 and E-Verify documentation required.
• Proof of name change if applicable.
• Various health documents required including TB test, immunizations (Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B), and physical exam.
• Drug testing must be completed within 72 hours of signing contract.
• Annual health questionnaire and candidate agreement must be completed prior to documentation due date.

Work Environment & Conditions

• May have shifts cancelled due to low census with 2 weeks' notice.
• Travelers are not eligible for employee incentives.
• Dayshift schedule with weekend and holiday rotations.

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.
