Physical Therapist (Travel Assignment)

Position Overview

Seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to provide compassionate, high-quality outpatient care during the summer months. This temporary role supports the primary outpatient team during their summer vacations, ensuring continuity of excellent patient care.

This assignment offers a predictable weekday schedule, reasonable productivity expectations, and dedicated documentation time—ideal for a motivated clinician who values efficiency and patient-centered care.

Schedule & Workload

• Monday to Friday
• 8 hours per day (5 days per week)
• Caseload: Approximately 10 patients per day
• Treatment sessions: 45-minute evaluations and treatments
• 30 minutes of scheduled documentation time built into the day

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver skilled outpatient physical therapy services following best practices and organizational standards
• Complete documentation and billing on the day services are delivered
• Complete discharge documentation within 24 hours of discharge or notification
• Collaborate professionally with the outpatient rehabilitation team to ensure seamless patient care

Contract Length

• Approximately 22 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapist license in Maine
• Minimum 2 years of physical therapy experience, including experience within the last year

• This is a summer coverage position
• Vacation requests during the week of July 4th cannot be approved
