Job Description

Seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide comprehensive respiratory care including:

• Oxygen therapy
• Ventilator management
• Breathing treatments
• Bedside Pulmonary Function Tests (PFT)
• Bedside Bronchoscopy assistance
• Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs) in Emergency Department (ED), Medical-Surgical (MS), Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), Ambulatory, and Stepdown units

Care will be provided for neonates, adults, and pediatric patients across critical care, nursery, medical-surgical, and stepdown units.

Shift: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, nights (1830-0700)
Weekends: Minimum 4 weekend shifts per contract, working every third weekend
Call: Not required
Floating: Not required

Required Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Accepts first-time travelers based on experience

Certifications (Required or As Applicable)

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)

Experience Requirements

• Specialty: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics
• Minimum years of experience: Not explicitly stated; first-time travelers accepted based on experience (implies entry-level to experienced RRTs considered)
• Prior travel experience: Not required

Background and Compliance Requirements

• 7-year background check including SS trace, county searches, nationwide sex offender check
• State-specific caregiver screening (Wisconsin)
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (QGold required, no TSpot/PPD accepted)
• Drug screening: Negative 10-panel drug screen with expanded opiates within 14 days before start (marijuana positive not disqualifying)
• Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (October to March)
• Professional references: 2 verified within 2 years of start

• Compliance checklist and confidentiality statement to be completed prior to start
• Various competency exams and certifications as applicable to the profession and specialty
