Job Opportunity: RN Endovascular Neurosurgery

Location: Florence, South Carolina
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Provide professional nursing care to patients undergoing neuro endovascular procedures.
  • Assess patient needs through history, observation, physical exams, and diagnostic data.
  • Plan and implement individualized nursing care based on holistic, age-specific needs.
  • Perform nursing interventions consistent with physician’s medical plans of care.
  • Demonstrate competency in nursing skills relevant to the procedure suite, including moderate sedation, point of care testing, contrast injector use, sheath removal, and operation of physiological monitoring systems.
  • Maintain patient safety initiatives such as patient identification, effective communication, and infection control.
  • Carry out physician’s orders accurately, including verbal and telephone orders.
  • Complete procedural paperwork including consent forms, pre- and post-procedure checklists, and documentation.
  • Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA.
  • Administer medications, blood, and blood products according to policies.
  • Participate in code management and rapid response as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in South Carolina
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Minimum of 1 year of neurosurgery nursing experience, with recent experience within the last year
  • Experience in neuro interventions
  • Experience in Cardiac Catheterization Lab (Cath Lab)
  • Experience in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) as a circulator
  • BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Training and competency in moderate sedation
