Schedule

• 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each (4x10)
• Shift hours: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Weekend call required: 4 shifts per 6-week schedule

Job Description

• Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Registered Nurse role
• Must be able to scrub during procedures
• Open-heart surgery experience required

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland
• Minimum 2 years of Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC)
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Open-heart surgery experience
• National Tech Certification Verification
• National Tech Certification (copy)
• Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement
• State License 1 Verification

Additional Requirements

• Must complete criminal background check within 90 days of start
• Drug screen within 90 days of start (does not include marijuana)
• Annual physical exam confirming ability to perform work without accommodations
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
• Required immunizations or proof of immunity: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap (Tdap preferred within 10 years)
• N95 Fit Test within 9 months of start, updated annually
• Completion of facility-specific orientation modules prior to start
• Medication and competency exams required within 3 years of start, including EKG/Dysrhythmia competency exam with minimum passing scores
• Two positive supervisory references supporting at least 2 years of experience within the last 3 years
• Complete 7 years of work history with no gaps

Notes

• Locals within 60 miles may be eligible for different rates (not disclosed here)
• Must be able to meet all facility-specific compliance and documentation requirements prior to start
• Weekend call and ability to work extended shifts are mandatory
